Like it or not, hair will grow all around our bodies throughout our lifetime. Facial hair is a particular concern for men as this can reach biblical proportions if left on its own. Even those who like having a beard and mustache will often have to shave to keep things manageable. Some women have to deal with this as well. In the past, a person would have to go to a barbershop to get a good shave along with a haircut as blades required expert handling. The Need for Innovation

Prior to this, blades were tricky tools that would often leave painful cuts on a person’s face. This made shaving a chore that many chose to avoid whenever they could. If you look at photographs in the past, long flowing beards were the norm. This wasn’t just a fashion statement but a practical lifestyle choice given the issues mentioned. Better models such as the safety razor were able to reduce the risks during the process but changing blades remained hazardous. People would cut their fingers trying to take out dull blades and inserting sharp new ones. Thanks to the injector razors, this problem has been resolved.

How It Works

There are several implementations by different companies but the main principles have stayed the same. In fact, new models are backwards compatible with many of the old products in the same line. There are two important parts to this equation: the razor itself and the magazine that holds the load. Replacement blades are inside a magazine that can be inserted to the top of the razor for quick reloads. Just slide a switch and things will fall into place with no direct handling of the blade necessary. It may look a bit skewed at first but just remove the magazine and this will be corrected.

Public Reception

The initial injector models were received enthusiastically by the public back when they were launched. A lot of people continue to use those old razors today as they work just as flawlessly as they did in the past. Of course, new blades need to be provided regularly as the old ones get dull. Current incarnations are much more streamlined and have a strong following. Many swear by them because of all the benefits that they have experienced. In particular, those who have sensitive skin can get a great shave without any fears.
