Before buying a standing desk, measure the people and equipment that will use it.
Check the lowest setting for seated work, the highest setting for taller users, and the clearance needed for the chair and its armrests. Then rehearse a normal session: type a message, read a document, join a call, and reach for an item you use often.
Note where your elbows, eyes, feet, and cables end up after several minutes, not just where they were during setup.
Keep a short record of the preferred sitting and standing heights beside the desk, so changing position does not require repeated trial and error. For further , review the arrangement against those ordinary tasks rather than judging it while standing perfectly still.
