Spy cameras have a number of really great uses, especially in an era where people are finding all sorts of new reasons to spy on each other. As they also provide a way for someone to take video and photos without the necessity of hands, they are employed by a number of different people for different uses, ranging from extreme sports enthusiasts to hidden camera shows. They are not employed solely by those looking to increase personal security or catch others in the act and are finding use in a number of different areas that they were not originally considered for, making life so much better for everyone.

While traditionally the strength of spy cameras has been that they can be hidden very easily and not be detected, people are finding other uses for them based on their other qualities. A GoPro camera, for example, sticks out from a person’s profile making it hard to maneuver with it; a user needs to remember that the camera is on his helmet, for example, and in other position it generally gets in the way of much needed equipment. A spy camera, on the other hand, can be positioned in a much more comfortable position and be completely forgotten about, making it a much more comfortable tool.

The user also has more options where he can put it, thus giving it access to much better camera angles. Spy cameras are designed to fit anywhere and still be able to record, such as mid-chest or even worn as part of a headband; again, rather than a GoPro or other small camera which must be placed in an awkward position that is constantly shaking, the camera can be placed virtually anywhere for a much more steady position as well as one that is closer to the operators point of view, making it a really nice camera for action shots that do not move around as much as a helmet cam would.

For those that do inspections, a spy camera has the advantage in that it can be ignored by those being filmed. While most other cameras are obvious and thus create nervousness in the inspected as well as the ability to hide things from the camera, the spy camera can allow the inspected to be a little calmer and they do not hide as much from the inspector. All told, spy cameras are able to do a wider variety of jobs than once thought, and are thus better able to help people accomplish their goals, making them an ideal tool for a wider variety of tasks than merely security and investigation.
